Healthy Lifestyle: Week 4

This post is a bit late, as I’ve been very busy these past 2 weeks and haven’t really had much time to post. But the important thing, is that I’m doing it now. Over the past 4 weeks of my new Healthy Lifestyle, I have fallen off and gotten back on the wagon more times than I care to count.

I was sick for a bit, so I missed some Bootcamp, and I had all kinds of birthday celebrations to eat (two in the office, my Dad’s 50th) so it definitely wasn’t smooth sailing in the “no sugar, no wheat” department. I also realised that there is absolutely no hope of me ever giving up alcohol in the week. So that’s that.

I have however, learned to be more concious of my body, and to be more balanced. So now, when I crave chocolate, I have one or two pieces. And I savour them and enjoy them and don’t allow myself to feel guilty for having them. I don’t put it off and put it off until I am foaming at the mouth, ready to dive head first into an ocean of cheap chocolate and sugary treats.

I’ve found some rad recipes and substitutes, like a range of gluten and wheat free baking products from Wellness Warehouse, and I especially like this blog for recipes and inspiration.

If you are keen to try out Bootcamp, I highly recommend it. It’s super fun, hectic, hard, awesome and shows real results. Also, if you don’t own a pair of actual running shoes and are looking to get yourself a pair (which you really should do, as they make the world of difference) try out these.
