|Most amazing Pad Thai from Sukhumvit Soi 38|
Welcome back to my little blog. I’ve been offline for a good 3 weeks now and I think I’m finally ready to start Tweeting, blogging, Facebook stalking, YouTube watching and Instagramming again. I’m also back at work- back in the office and I start swimming again next week. I’ve only been back since the weekend but it already feels like Koh Samui was a month ago.
We had the MOST AMAZING time in Thailand. We shopped, traveled (a lot), ate (so much), drank rum and coconut milk every day, swam in the sea, rode around on our motorbike, read, chilled, explored and hung out with each other. We saw a little bit of Hong Kong on our trip over, since we had a seven hour lay-over and South African’s don’t need a visa to leave the airport. In Thailand we spent two nights in Bangkok, four nights in Phuket, eleven nights in Koh Samui and one more night in Bangkok on the way home. We also had 24 hours in Dubai on a lay-over, so we managed to see a little bit of the desert while we were there.
Nash and I are so lucky to have spent these past three weeks together. We spent every hour of every day in each other’s company and I just realized all over again how lucky we are to have found each other. It’s a pretty rare thing, being able to spend all your time with one person and still finding them funny, interesting, clever and gorgeous by the time you have to go back to the real world. It actually feels pretty weird being away from each other now.
I’ll be writing a little bit about each place we visited over the next few weeks. But for now, I just wanted to share some pictures of Bangkok. So, here we go… Tails Of A Mermaid is back. Hello 2013!
