Hey Jude! The Magic Personal Assistant App (Competition)

May 15, 2017   /   bynatalie  / Categories :  Personal

Ever wished you had a personal assistant who you could just call up and ask to organise your birthday party or book your flights and accommodation for your upcoming holiday? I mean, I literally wish that all.the.time! That’s why I thought Hey Jude was so cool when I heard about it!

Hey Jude is a personal assistant app, but with real people – The Judes – on the other side! The app is free to download, and you’re given 3 free requests. After that, you can decide if you’d like to subscribe for R199 per month. You pay for the goods or services you need, while only paying Hey Jude R199 a month for their personal assistant service.

Here’s how the Hey Jude app works:

Me: “Hey Jude, I’m looking for accommodation for one night in the Yarra Valley, just outside of Melbourne, for two people, this Friday night. I’d like a quaint cottage or room with a fireplace. I’m looking to spend around $200 Australian.”

The Judes do all the hard work that I would normally have to do from my phone while trying to manage my life. They then get back to me with a couple of options that best match my request. If I like any of them, the Judes can book and pay for the accommodation using my (safely stored) credit card details.

Honestly, how cool and useful is that? And it literally costs less than avo on toast in Melbourne. WORTH IT!

Hey Jude has smart integrations with Uber, AirBnB and Ticket Master so you don’t have to leave 10 apps open on your phone. They can calculate the cost of the Uber trip to the airport for the flight they just booked for you. They can find and book your accommodation and restaurants on the other side. They could probably even send you a bedtime story to help you fall asleep once you get there.

Think of all the ways you could use it. You could ask Hey Jude to find and book a restaurant for your family that caters to several diets, or to book your car in for a service, then remind you to take it. You could ask The Judes to take a look at some pictures of your new house and find furniture within your budget that would work in the space. Or to find a gift for your mom in-law’s birthday and have it delivered to her doorstep. Basically, anything you would ask the assistant you can’t afford to do.

Competition Time with Hey Jude

Now if you’re already planning all the ways you can use Hey Jude, I’ve got some good news. They’re giving away the opportunity to make #HeyJudeMagic with R5000 credit. So if you’re dreaming about getting The Judes to book your holiday to Mauritius, or plan you the “surprise” birthday party you’ve always wanted, or find you the perfect tattoo artist and brief them on what you’re after, this is your chance to make your dreams come true!

How to enter:

  • Comment below and tell me what you’d get The Judes to do for you with R5000
  • For 30 (!) extra entries, upload a picture of what you’d spend that R5000 on to Facebook or Instagram and copy and paste this caption: “I want to win R5000 with @heyjudeapp by sharing what I’d do with all that cash! #heyjudemagic

Almost as easy as actually using the app itself.

*Competition is open to South Africa only and closes on the 31st of May 2017. This post was sponsored by Hey Jude.

I would love to use Hey Jude to help book accommodation, check out sales, do research for my studies and blog and all the other small daily tasks. With that R5000 I would love for them to organize a weekend getaway to the drakensberg, where they arrange everything from the booking, how to get there and what extras I’ll be needing. This app sounds amazing and I just downloaded it.

I’ve been plotting my husband’s 30th birthday surprise breakaway (we always arrange a little getaway for each others birthdays) in my mind for weeks now. Hey Jude would be so helpful in helping me make sure that it includes all his favourite things! I’m bound for forget something, but with Hey Jude I should have it all covered!

I would love Hey Jude to help pay for my University fees. The R5000 would go a long way in decreasing my outstanding balance. I am currently a student.

I’ve got such a long list of things to do, so I can keep Jude busy for the longest time. Here are a few important ones that I haven’t been able to get to….
    (1) Collect the labels that I had printed to mark my son’s clothes. These are paid for, but are on the other side of Joburg.
    (2) Find out where the closest place is to fix my car exhaust.
    (3) Book my mom for a massage (she is so stressed).
    (4) Make bookings at Jamie’s Italian & Marble for two special date nights.
    (5) Take my dry cleaning in….

    The list goes on…

I am dreaming of that cozy cabin in the woods or that little cottage by the sea, the perfect little getaway spot I’ve had my eye on for ages. And chances are it will be a reality with Judes helping me out, having such an extensive listing and cover the whole of Africa/world So chances of me finding that perfect spot for a much needed break, are pretty favourable!!!! #heyjudemagic

I would definitely take my husband to the Kruger National Park. I’ve recently had major surgery on my leg and foot and have been bed bound for 2 weeks. I have another 8 weeks on crutches ahead of me, and then learning to walk again with physio and occupational therapy. My husband has been absolutely AMAZING looking after me day and night. From my many days in hospital where he broke all the rules of visiting hours to be with me all day while I was in so much pain, and being there to help me use the bed pan (no husband should ever have to do that!!) and help me get to the bathroom and back on my crutches now that I’m home, I would love nothing more than to spoil him with a relaxing break in the bush. He SO deserves it!!

Hey Jude… don’t be afraid, take my request and make it better lol 😂. Love this – I’m attending my best friend’s wedding next year in Ireland and want to see the price difference in traveling from CPT to Dublin or directly to Shannon airport. I also want a break with kids this Christmas in a self catering house that has 3/4 bedrooms and possibly near the sea like in Gordon’s Bay or further like Hermanus etc – need to book this early

It’s always been a dream of mine to go on an epic trip with my best friend, so after years of putting it off I’m finally doing it! In July my best friend and I will be jetting of to London.

A few weeks ago we booked our ticket and got an really awesome deal…OR DID WE? We were a little too excited about getting such a great deal we forgot to check how long our stopovers were. Turns out that on the way back we’ve got a 12 hour lay over! Cue sad face!

I’d love to win with Hey Jude to help me find a airport hotel for my and my friend to stay in so that we don’t have to lose our minds in Doha for 12 hours. Please Judes help me!!!! #HeyJudeMagic

While backpacking through New Zealand one of our trip goals was to do some skydiving while there as it’s the capital of Adventure Sports, unfortunately due to high conversion rate this activity was just too expensive to partake in. We made a vow though, once back on SA soil booking a skydiving adventure would be top of priorities. So in closing I’d ask Jude on the best spots to skydive in and around the Western Cape so we can fulfil our vow to each other, also who doesn’t like their coffee with a side order of extreme adrenaline rush right?

Hey Jude. Do you think you can coordinate an open weekend in my and my bf’s diary, check (and book) flights to Durban and arrange an Uber to his folks place? I would also like to give them thoughtful gifts, specifically themed around food and wine, for bonus points and if at all possible, uniquely Cape Townian. Just to make the weekend hiccup free, I need you to check the weather, recommend what to pack and book Sunday lunch for 8 pax in the Midlands – preferably somewhere that serves up amazing bubbles. Ok, that should cover it! Thanks Jude!

I had my third (and final) baby 6.5 months ago and let’s just say that I look like I’m expecting again 😉 (for clarity: I’m not – but I have the bump that says otherwise!). So I’d ask HeyJude to find me some really FUN exercise classes – like old school aerobics set to cheesy 80s pop – close to my office, so that when I go back to work I can sneak in a workout during lunch!

After following your Iceland trip like a stalker, I would definitely put that R5000 towards the few cocktails and pastries I could buy over there.

You inspired me with that trip to want to do the exact same, and the R5000 would literally be a dream come true in making that happen! Eek!
