My boyfriend always says it’s hard to shop for me, but I can’t imagine why. I literally love all presents! His argument is that I already have everything I need, which is fair enough. But do I have everything I want? I think not. I’m a big believer in gifting spoils, rather than that gifts that are practical. My argument is that I’m always going to get myself the practical things I really need, but I don’t spoil myself too often. This year I am crossing my fingers for some gifts that I can use in my car. I love driving and spending time in my car and so anything that can enhance my time on the road is always a fantastic idea. Just the other day I was reading this list of gift ideas for drivers so if anyone is looking for some gift inspiration, you should definitely take a look! I hope my list of 10 Christmas gifts any travel-obsessed girl will love offers a little inspiration and gives you some ideas for the travel-obsessed friend, partner, daughter, mom or sister in your life. Because honestly, who isn’t travel-obsessed?
10 Christmas Gifts Any Travel-Obsessed Girl Will Love
1 Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker
Having music or podcasts with me wherever I go is a must. Sometimes you just wanna get a vibe going, ya know? A waterproof Bluetooth speaker can go anywhere I go – from the shower to the pool to the beach. If you are picky with your waterproof speakers, it might be handy to check out speakers through Coolest Gadgets great gifts for guys guide. I’ve heard they have some other useful gift suggestions as well that either gender could enjoy.
2 A Scent to Remember
Every time I go on a big trip or holiday, I buy a new perfume to use on the trip. Smell is one of our most powerful senses and it can transport me right back to a tropical beach or that night I was getting ready for NYE in a magical city with just one spritz. Right now I’m really into Michael Kors Wanderlust, and not just because it matches the “travel” theme.
3 HP Sprocket Printer
With this tiny little printer, you can take pictures with your phone or camera and print them right away. I love the idea of being able to edit and crop pictures on my phone and then printing them along my journey, ready to frame or put into an album when I get home. This is right at the top of my Christmas wish list!
4 Longchamp Le Pliage Bag
This bag is a classic. It’s super hardy and big enough to carry around all my travel stuff, camera and something warm – and it’s super chic too. It can also fold up really tiny, so it doesn’t take up much room in my luggage. I have one already and I’d like to start a little collection of my own.
5 Wireless Headphones
Because who has time to get their cable wrapped up in stuff? Wireless headphones are a must-have and a gift that keeps on giving. If you want to have a look at a wide range of headphones to choose from, you can go to HeadphonesLab.com in order to compare some of the very best on the market.
6 Adidas Stan Smiths
My favourite travel shoes! Stan Smiths are super comfy and look great with everything from a summery dress to jeans and a leather jacket. One pair is never enough.
7 KnowRoaming SIM Card
KnowRoaming provides SIM Stickers and SIM Cards for low-cost calling and data with coverage in 200+ countries. This means that you can use your smartphones like you would at home, without having to deal with the hassle of getting a local SIMs, having to wait for WiFi or coming home to an insanely high phone bill. The KnowRoaming Global SIM Card offers calling, data and SMS at rates up to 85% less than traditional roaming. It works with the free KnowRoaming companion app. This app really puts you in control, so you can prepay for all usage, check rates and monitor usage in real-time. Plus, it offers free unlimited WhatsApp data usage, including calls and video calls. It makes a great gift, and you can just top it up with data for her whenever she travels.
8 Instax Mini Polaroid Camera
Digital is awesome, but there’s something romantic about analogue. A mini polaroid camera was a really great addition to my travel kit, and I love the whole ritual of taking pictures with it, waiting for them to develop and then treasuring them in my wallet, or pinning them up around the house.
9 Music/TV Streaming Membership
Having access to Google Music and Netflix is a big deal, especially when I’m travelling by myself. The gift of entertainment is one that everyone can value, so gifting your frequent traveller with access to Netflix or a music streaming platform like Google Music will definitely make her smile.
10 Luxurious Bed Linen
When you’re away often, there’s nothing more luxurious than sleeping in your own bed, between clean, fresh sheets. This jersey knit set from Woolworths has been on my want-list for ages! It’s so soft and stretchy, like your oldest, comfiest t-shirt.
I hope my list of 10 Christmas gifts any travel-obsessed girl will love has given you a few ideas for the holidays. Let me know if there’s anything you’re putting on your list this year!
