Just because Bali is a hot, humid, tropical island, doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun with fashion while you drift between beach clubs, villa pools and nightlife. I had lots of fun shopping for beautiful tropical pieces before I left, but I found some of my favourite new summer pieces in Bali. There are a few really beautiful local brands to choose from.
Here’s my Bali Packing Guide
Jumpsuits
Easy to throw on over a bikini, and even easier to take from day to night with a pair of strappy heels, jumpsuits are super practical and comfy, while looking amazing.
Tropical Print Jumpsuit from Foschini (SA)
Striped Jumpsuit from Faithfull the Brand (Bali)
Printed Jumpsuit from Buddhawear (Bali)
One Piece Swimsuits
I’m going through a big one piece phase right now. They feel so comfy and sexy and a little bit mysterious. They’re also easy to wear a week into your holiday, when you’ve been drinking Bintangs all day every day and feel a little bloated.
Printed One Piece from H&M (SA)
Cut-out One Piece from Roxy (Bali)
High-neck One Piece from Billabong (SA)
Pretty Dresses
Can you ever have too many? I’m not a big fan of shorts and t-shirts – I’d rather wear a pretty dress any day! Plus they’re easy to wear to the beach or on a night out, so you can pack less and get more wear out of each item you do carry halfway across the globe. If you’re with a special someone, you might also want to bring one of your silk nighties and wear it during your date night.
Nautical Dress from Foschini (SA)
Tropical Print Dress from Show Me Your Mumu (USA – ordered online)
Palm Print Dress from Show Me Your Mumu (USA – ordered online)
Flowy Dress from a street vendor (Bali)
Printed Shirt Dress from Poetry (SA)
I packed a couple of pairs of Havaianas and a pair of trusty strappy heels from Wooloworths that I can’t get enough of! I’ve got them in tan, and I can’t wait to get them in black too. They’re just the right height, look great with everything and are comfortable enough to wear all day long!
Add to that a couple of hats and you’re all set for your dream island holiday.

Best wardrobe ever!!!
Hi Natalie,
I saw a post on Instagram that you would be making different patterns of the “Flowy Dress from a street vendor (Bali)” and would be selling them on your blog? … would love to buy one! When will they be available?
