I make no secret of the fact that this time of year is my favourite time to be in Cape Town. Warm days, no wind and the best sunsets you’ll see all year. A couple of weeks ago I was invited to join one of my favourite food brands, Mediterranean Delicacies, for their first media event on a sunset boat cruise. There was great food and wine and the weather played along beautifully. I didn’t have to use any filters on these pictures because, well, nature.
Chef Lapo Magni, AKA “The Drunken Tuscan” was introduced as the brand ambassador for Mediterranean Delicacies. Lapo was the winner of Italy’s version of Master Chef last year and returned to Cape Town to launch “The Drunken Tuscan”. You can find him on Saturday mornings at the Neighbourgoods Market in The Old Biscuit Mill where he makes amazing Risotto and gourmet cocktails.
Avontuur Wine Estate provided wines that paired with the Mediterranean menu including an amazing Chardonnay Pinot Noir. Knead Bakery brought their bread and BOS Ice Tea provided the soft drinks.
A final but huge thank you is also owed to Cruise IQ who allowed us the opportunity to enjoy the Peroni catamaran, as well as Jon from ishotimages for capturing the fun.
