It’s going to take me a while to process my thoughts and to write down the stories that I have from India. I recently spent three weeks in this incredible country and I can honestly say that the thing that I loved most about it, was the people. Here are a few pictures I took of some beautiful Indians.
Barber shop, Bandra
Fresh fish, Bandra
Kids, Bandra
Koli woman, Bandra
Fishermen, Bandra
Police Officer, Bandra
Chai Wallah, Bandra
A beggar woman and her baby, Bandra
Dabbawala, Mumbai
Snake Charmer, Kerala
All images unedited, taken with my
Fuji X20, available to order online from
SA Camera.
I took two camera’swith me to India . My Olympus PEN and this little guy from Fuji. The great thing about this camera is that it is small enough to carry around in your bag. The Olympus itself is small, but this Fuji is even smaller. The settings are easy and I found that the Automatic settings resulted in some amazing images.
I saw a lot of people lugging around some really big, really expensive SLR cameras that they didn’t know how to use, which were resulting in some seriously average photos. If you’re like me and you’re not a professional photographer, this camera will be more than you need to capture some beautiful images.
The video quality is excellent and I’m busy editing together a video taken with the camera. It’s also really pretty to look at. It takes 12 megapixel images and if you’re interested in some serious jargon regarding the specs, this is what the
SA Camera website says about it:
The Fujifilm X20 is an advanced compact camera that offers a retro design, new 12 megapixel 2/3-type X-Trans CMOS II sensor with built-in Phase Detection pixels and no low-pass filter, a 4x, 28-112mm, f/2.0-2.8 zoom lens with a manual zoom ring, optical viewfinder with a newly developed Digital Trans Panel, 1080p movie recording, hybrid auto focus system, 12fps burst shooting and a 2.8-inch LCD monitor with a resolution of 460,000 dots. Other key features of the Fujifilm X20 include an ISO range of 100-12800, full range of manual controls, Focus Peak Highlight feature, optical image stabilisation, raw image capture, a hot-shoe, an integrated manual pop-up flash, film simulation modes, 360° motion panoramas, 1cm macro mode and an electronic level gauge.

All in all, it’s a really good little camera for a really great price. Check it out at SA Camera

These pictures were taken while on a tour with GoIndia, booked through FlightSite. I highly recommend them.
