Keenan and I moved into our new home at the beginning of March. Now we’re in our new home, we’ve got a random selection of furniture and decor that we’ve collected separately over the years. I’ve got a few second-hand items from my family home, a few pieces I’ve bought along the way and a sleeper couch gifted by my favorite aunt. Keenan mostly lived in digs, so he had a few small items and a needlepoint horse his grandma made. But a few ragtag items do not make a home.
Our budget has been tiiiight since we moved and even though pretty much everyone warned us that the first year of buying property is financially trying, it’s still been hectic. There seems to be a never-ending list of boring things we need to pay for and buy, when what we really want to spend our money on is beautiful decor and furniture and plants.
We’ve had some time to settle in now and we’ve realised that even though our home is small, it’s not too small. In fact, there’s even room for a little dining area. So we’re teaming up with Mr Price Home to create a little area where we can eat and entertain. We’ve been browsing their site and last night we ordered a few items for our new “dining room”.
Check out my Studio Apartment Pinterest board to see what kind of home we are hoping to create.
I really love the current Scandinavian-inspired designs they’ve got in store and online, since the clean lines and sleek design don’t take up too much space. In fact, I love their Stockholm range so much that I ordered a new coffee table, too.
