The holiday season is officially in full swing in Cape Town. Foreign accents everywhere, beaches packed with beautifully bronzed bodies, Instagram feeds flooded with pool shots and sunsets. I’m spending the holidays with my family and I can’t wait to spend some time relaxing.
Cape Town really is a spectacular place to spend the summer holidays. Last weekend I had the opportunity to experience one of the most luxe ways to do that, when my friends at Spier Wine Farm invited me to spend the day with them on a catamaran in Granger Bay.
It was the kind of Cape Town day that makes you forget the dreadful South-Easter (galeforce wind also known as the “Cape Doctor”) has ever blown. Hot, clear, perfectly still. The water was also surprisingly warm, which was an unexpected blessing.
If this is a sign of summer days to come, we are in for a TREAT!
